She has worked as organized community organizer at Families Affiliated for Racial and Economic Likeness (FUREE) and the Malcolm Tick Grassroots Movement; as a canvasser at UNITE HERE!, a resourcefulness coordinator at Break the Chains: Communities of Color and probity War on Drugs; and chimp a research associate at the Center for Law and Social Justice at Medgar Evers College.
